Pioneering Laser Technologies
for Sustainable Energy

From breakthrough glass-to-glass encapsulation delivering 20+ year solar cell lifetimes, to precision laser processing for next-generation electronics — Azure Photon turns photonic science into industrial reality.

About Us

Azure Photon is a University of Porto startup specializing in advanced laser-based material processing. We pioneer innovative photonic solutions for next-generation electronics, including solar photovoltaics and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Our work bridges research and industry through cutting-edge modeling, experimental studies, and process development in laser-assisted glass-to-glass encapsulation and laser annealing of third-generation photovoltaic devices such as dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells.

At Azure Photon, we turn laser precision into sustainable innovation — shaping the future of clean energy and advanced electronics.
