Pioneering the future of photonics through strategic partnerships and funded innovation.
Pulsate: LaserEncap
The LaserEncap project focuses on advancing laser-assisted glass encapsulation technology. The method involves using two laser beams to melt a glass frit sealant, achieving a hermetic bond between two glass substrates. This innovative dual-beam approach enhances processing yields, making it suitable for applications in solar photovoltaics and OLED devices. The project builds on an existing proof of concept and aims to refine the process for industrial scalability.

PhotonIoT
The PhotonIoT project presents an innovative IoT product powered by solar cells, aiming to provide a source of clean energy and reduce the need for disposable batteries. To this end, it seeks to develop three IoT device prototypes powered by perovskite solar cells (PSCs), an emerging photovoltaic technology. The project encompasses the production and integration of solar cells to power IoT sensors such as temperature, humidity, and CO2.
